Founded in 2017, Teng Medical Foundation, P.C., is committed to providing medical care that is straightforward and comprehensive. As a primary care and acute care clinic, we are able to attend to the health management needs of all family members, young and old. We serve patients as part of our promise to provide the best care that springs from a dedication to excellence in every aspect of health care. Dr. James Trauth is a caring and highly-respected family physician with over 27 years of experience providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages. He has a strong background in sports medicine and outpatient procedures, and is committed to helping individuals and families stay healthy, active, and engaged in their lives.

Dr. Trauth completed his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, He completed his Family Medicine residency at West Suburban Medical Center in Chicago. Here he also did training at Northwestern Childrens and Cook County Hospitals. He has served in diverse clinical and leadership roles, including Lead Family Physician at the USAF Mather Clinic, Lead Physician at the Carmichael Clinic, and Family Physician at UC Davis Folsom Clinic, where he was recognized as one of the most productive primary care physicians. He later served as Senior Medical Director at Blue Shield of California, training and leading multiple physician teams.

On the sidelines and in the community, Dr. Trauth has volunteered as a youth sports coach and team physician for high school football, reflecting his passion for athletics, mentorship, and injury prevention in young athletes. Patients know him for his thoughtful bedside manner, balanced judgment, and dedication to long-term, trusted relationships with the families he serves.

ABOUT THE OWNER
Teng Medical Foundation, P.C. is led by our Director, Chunwen Teng D.O. Dr. Teng earned her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency program at Choctaw Nation Family Medicine in Talihina, OK. Dr. Teng is an artist, musician , writer, and pilot, and has a passion for travel and life-long learning.

Dr. Teng is Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practice, and is licensed to practice medicine in the States of California. Dr. Teng has advanced patient care skills and is certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, ALSO, and ATLS.

Prior to founding the Teng Medical Foundation, P.C., Dr. Teng served her patients as an Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care Medicine and Family Physician in several different localities and healthcare facilities. Helping patients in these critical and community settings has provided Dr. Teng with the experience to look after patients who have a wide range of medical conditions and healthcare concerns.
